School Sponsored Activities

In addition to activities available to students on their own, the college provides a unique educational experience outside the classroom. The one-year program is designed to include a number of field trips to locations both historically and scientifically important.

  • We believe the combination of instruction inside and outside the classroom will enable each student to develop a keen appreciation of the magnificent Creator-God we serve. Anticipated field trips during the year include:
  • Creation-science trip to Fossil Butte
  • Whitewater rafting on the Snake River
  • Backpacking into "the Winds"
  • Picnics and overnight camping trips
  • A field trip to Yellowstone National Park
  • Hikes in Grand Teton National Park
  • A western history trip to Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody, Wyoming
  • Creation-science field trips to places like the Grand Canyon,
  • Colorado National Monument, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, and
  • Arches National Park

Most costs for travel, food and lodging have been included in the tuition costs for all full time students, making a year at JHBC a splendid value for learning, spiritual growth and recreation.
