Is the earth as old as secular scientists claim? If so, does that mean the rock layers full of evidence of decay and death existed prior to man’s first sin as recorded in Genesis? Can these evolutionary views be reconciled with the Christian Bible?
This booklet is the product of a team from Jackson Hole Bible College who sought to answer these questions from a much-needed theological viewpoint. The gospel itself is undermined when the seemingly harmless idea of millions of years is carried to its full logical conclusions. Theological dominoes begin to fall when any portion of Scripture, especially a foundational book such as Genesis, is no longer treated as the inerrant Word of God. A firm stance on the authority of the Bible must be consistently applied in the Christian’s hermeneutic.
